MY FIRST TECHNICAL POST
For past one month in my blog the poll was conducted on the topic “Whether it is possible to send an exe file via Gmail?
40% of people voted NO
10% of people voted MAY BE
Here comes the answer for the POLL.
Yes we can send an exe file via Gmail
I think you may all familiar of this error box.
This is the error message what we receive after clicking the send button of your mail which contains .exe file attached to it.
Because Gmail avoids spreading of viruses through .exe attachments.
But sometimes you’ll be in a situation to send .exe files. Then definitely my trick will help you.
How…?
Just by converting the .exe file to any other non-editable file types like .pdf or .jpg or .html. And then send them through mail. Reconvert the file type to .exe at receiver’s end.
Here are the steps to change the file type.
Step-1: Open “Folder Options” by clicking ToolsàFolder Options in the explorer window.
Step-2: Uncheck “Hide extensions for known file types” item under View tab.
Step-3: Then change the file type as shown.
Now send the file, at this time Gmail won’t be throwing the error. But reconvert the file to .exe at the receiver’s end to make the installation.
Try this, and share it to your friends.
I extended my warm thanks to Mr Francis Antony Raj .I, for giving his article to publish in my blog.
