MONO-RAIL's IN TAMIL NADU:
Have you aware of the mono-rail…!
On June 3, 2011 our honorable Governor Mr.Surjit Singh Barnala said that “The Mono-Train” will be implemented in Tamilnadu linking the major parts of the cities like Chennai,Madurai,Coimbatore etc.,
But at present the work of Metro-Train is been going on at the rate of 14 thousand 600 cores.
Since the traffic in Chennai is around the neck, this mono-rails is been implemented,which will be more quicker to complete comparing to METRO-TRAINS.
The work of this mono-train in Tamil Nadu will be started quickly and at the end of 2015, the works will be completed.
Now the question is “What is going to happen for METRO-TRAIN plans.?”
What is MONO-RAIL?
A mono rail is a way of transportation which looks similar like an ordinary train, but runs on a single track.
Two Types of MONO-RAIL are available:
1. Straddle-Beam Monorail
2. Suspended Monorail
Straddle-Beam Monorail:
The Straddle-Beam Monorail runs on the bridge with single track.
Suspended Monorail:
The suspended monorail also runs on the bridge only but in the direction of upside down.
This monorail was invented by an Russian called Ivan Elmanoy in the year 1820.
At present this mono rail are available in Russia,South Africa,China,Japan, Malaysia,Dubai, Belgium,Finland,Germany,Holland,Italy, Nether land,Spain,Britain,Singapore,South Kore ya, Thailand and Australia.
In India the work of the mono-rail is been started in MUMBAI at 2008.Still the work is in progress.

The longest monorail in the world is OSAKA Monorail which is in japan The total length of this OSAKA monorail is 28 K.M.
